Ferrite Beads

Ferrite beads are small, bead – or cylinder – shaped electronic components made of ferrite, a ferromagnetic metal oxide. They’re placed on wires and work based on their varying impedance to different – frequency electromagnetic signals, mainly used to suppress high – frequency EMI in circuits.
They play key roles. In power and signal circuits, they block high – frequency noise. In power supplies, they stop noise from spreading, like in computer motherboards. In signal lines, they maintain signal integrity, as in high – speed data cables. For EMC, they’re used in electronics and industrial equipment. They help products pass EMC tests and keep industrial devices stable in noisy environments. In mixed – signal circuits, they isolate digital and analog signals, preventing digital noise from corrupting analog ones, for instance, in audio codec circuits.
