The EKY-250ELL102MK30S from Chemi-Con is a 1000 uF, 25 V radial aluminum electrolytic capacitor from the EKY series. This high-capacitance device is designed for demanding power supply applications requiring substantial energy storage and low impedance. The 18 x 30 mm can provides the volume needed for 1000 uF at 25 V while maintaining an ultra-low impedance of 0.012 ohm and a ripple current rating of 2.55 A. The 8000-hour life at 105 degC ensures reliable operation in continuous-duty applications.

The EKY series uses a wound aluminum foil element with optimized low-impedance electrolyte. The 18 mm can diameter accommodates a large-area etched anode foil, providing the high capacitance value of 1000 uF within a reasonable volume. The electrolyte system is formulated for low equivalent series resistance (0.012 ohm at 100 kHz), which minimizes self-heating under high ripple current conditions. The large can volume also provides sufficient electrolyte for the 8000-hour life rating at full temperature.
