The EKZE250ELL471MK25S from Chemi-Con is a 470 uF, 25 V radial aluminum electrolytic capacitor from the EKZE series. With a 16 mm x 25 mm can, it provides high capacitance density with very low impedance of 0.018 ohm at 100 kHz and a high ripple current rating of 1.95 A. The 8000-hour life rating at 105 degC ensures reliable long-term operation in demanding power supply applications. The 7.5 mm lead spacing provides robust mechanical attachment to the PCB.

The EKZE series capacitor uses a wound aluminum foil construction with a low-impedance electrolyte formulation. The 16 mm diameter can accommodates a larger foil area and more electrolyte than smaller variants, enabling both higher capacitance (470 uF) and lower equivalent series resistance (0.018 ohm). The aluminum oxide dielectric layer on the anode foil determines the voltage rating, while the electrolyte serves as the cathode conductor. The large can volume improves thermal performance, allowing 1.95 A ripple current without exceeding the core temperature limit.
