The Richtek RT7295DZSP is a 5A synchronous step-down DC-DC converter in SOP-8 (EP) package with integrated power MOSFETs. Operating from 4.5V to 18V input at 700kHz, it delivers 5A output for high-current point-of-load applications such as networking ASICs, set-top boxes, and industrial control systems.

The RT7295DZSP uses current-mode control with integrated 30mOhm high-side and 20mOhm low-side N-channel MOSFETs. The low MOSFET on-resistance enables 5A output with high efficiency. The 700kHz switching frequency provides a balance between efficiency and inductor size. The 0.8V reference voltage allows output programming from 0.8V to 14V. Overcurrent, overvoltage, and thermal shutdown protections ensure safe operation under fault conditions.
