The TMP1075 is a high-accuracy digital temperature sensor from Texas Instruments that provides a drop-in upgrade path for the industry-standard LM75 and TMP75. It features +/-0.25 deg C typical accuracy with 12-bit resolution (0.0625 deg C per LSB), while consuming only 2.7 uA average supply current. The device supports up to 32 I2C addresses through A0/A1/A2 pin configuration, enabling large multi-sensor deployments. An ALERT pin provides programmable over/under-temperature interrupts with SMBus alert functionality. NIST-traceable calibration ensures measurement reliability.

The TMP1075 uses a bandgap temperature-sensing core followed by a 12-bit ADC to digitize the temperature reading. The internal oscillator and control logic manage conversion timing, with a typical conversion time of 26 ms. The device supports four operating modes: continuous conversion, one-shot (single conversion then shutdown), shutdown (minimum power), and thermostat (comparator or interrupt mode). The ALERT output asserts when temperature crosses programmable high or low thresholds. I2C communication provides read access to the temperature register (00h) and write access to configuration (01h), low limit (02h), and high limit (03h) registers.
