The AT24CM01-SSHD-T is a 1Mbit (128KB) I2C Serial EEPROM from Microchip organized as 128K x 8 bits with up to 1MHz clock frequency for fast data access. Operating from 2.5V to 5.5V, it supports 400kHz and 1MHz I2C modes. The 256-byte page write buffer enables efficient bulk writes, while the hardware write-protect pin provides full-array protection against inadvertent writes. Factory programming is available for pre-loaded configuration data. The 8-pin SOIC (wide) tape-and-reel package supports high-volume manufacturing.

The AT24CM01 communicates via I2C protocol with SDA and SCL lines. The device uses a 17-bit address field (A0-A16) to access the full 128KB memory space. For write operations, the master sends a start condition, device address, 2-byte memory address, and up to 256 bytes of data in a single transaction. The device internally programs the page within 5ms. For read operations, the master sends a dummy write to set the address, then a repeated start with the read bit to sequentially output data. The WP pin, when asserted, protects the entire memory array from write operations.
