The AT25512-TH-B is a 512Kbit SPI Serial EEPROM from Microchip organized as 64K x 8 bits, supporting SPI modes 0 and 3 at up to 20MHz clock. The wide 1.8V-5.5V operating range supports both low-voltage and 5V systems. Block write protection allows protecting 1/4, 1/2, or the entire memory array via software and hardware WP pin. The 128-byte page write buffer and self-timed 5ms write cycle simplify firmware design. The compact 8-pin TSSOP package suits space-constrained applications.

The AT25512 communicates via standard SPI with CS, SCK, SI, and SO signals. Write operations require a preceding WREN command, followed by a Page Program with 16-bit address and up to 128 data bytes. Internal high-voltage generation handles the erase/write cycle within 5ms. Block write protection is configured via Status Register BP0/BP1 bits. The WP pin provides hardware protection of the Status Register. Read operations output data sequentially starting from the addressed location. SPI modes 0 (CPOL=0, CPHA=0) and 3 (CPOL=1, CPHA=1) are both supported.
