The C1206C104K2RACTU from KEMET is a 0.1µF 16V X7R surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) in a 1206 (3216 Metric) package. X7R Class II dielectric provides a practical balance of capacitance density and temperature stability, with capacitance changing no more than ±15% over the -55°C to +125°C operating range. KEMET MLCCs feature 100% pure matte tin terminations for excellent solderability and are RoHS compliant.

The C1206C104K2RACTU operates as a multilayer ceramic capacitor where alternating layers of ceramic dielectric (X7R barium titanate-based formulation) and nickel inner electrodes are co-fired into a monolithic structure. X7R dielectric is a Class II ferroelectric material based on barium titanate, where the capacitance varies with applied voltage (voltage coefficient), temperature (temperature coefficient), and time (aging at approximately -1% per decade hour). The X7R designation per EIA-198 specifies ±15% capacitance change over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range.
