The DL-6950N is a high-voltage, high-speed multi-channel digital optocoupler from Isocom designed for IGBT/MOSFET gate drive applications in motor drives and power inverters. It provides reinforced isolation with 5000 Vrms rating, high CMTI (>50 kV/µs), and integrated desaturation detection for IGBT protection.

The DL-6950N is a high-voltage gate drive optocoupler from Isocom with 2.5A peak output current, 5000 Vrms reinforced isolation, and >50 kV/µs CMTI. Integrated IGBT desaturation detection and UVLO provide comprehensive power stage protection. Active Miller clamping prevents false IGBT turn-on due to high dv/dt events. The -40°C to +100°C temperature range supports demanding motor drive and inverter environments.

Gate drive optocoupler combining an input LED with an output driver stage. The LED transmits the PWM control signal across the isolation barrier. The output stage amplifies this to 2.5A peak gate drive current for IGBT/MOSFET switching. Desaturation detection monitors IGBT VCE during on-state — if VCE exceeds threshold (indicating desaturation), the gate drive shuts off to protect the IGBT from destruction. UVLO ensures the output remains off until the secondary-side supply reaches minimum operating voltage. Active Miller clamping sinks gate current during high dv/dt transients to prevent parasitic turn-on.
