The DS2003TM from Maxim is a 7-channel Darlington transistor array capable of 500 mA per channel at up to 50V collector voltage. Built-in clamp diodes protect against inductive kickback from relay and stepper motor loads. It is pin-compatible with the industry-standard ULN2003.

Principio de funcionamiento
Each channel consists of a Darlington pair (two cascaded NPN transistors) providing high current gain (>1000). Input logic compatible with 5V TTL/CMOS drives the base of the first transistor. Built-in 50V clamp diodes from each output to common COM pin absorb inductive kickback when driving relays, solenoids, or stepper motors.
