The PF48F4400P0VBQEF from Micron is a 512Mb (32Mx16) parallel NOR Flash memory from the P30 StrataFlash Embedded Memory family. Using multi-level cell (MLC) technology storing 2 bits per cell, it delivers high density at low cost-per-bit. The 85ns asynchronous access time and 52MHz synchronous burst capability support high-performance code execution. The asymmetric bottom-boot block architecture with 4x32KB parameter blocks and 128KB main blocks suits embedded firmware storage.

The P30 StrataFlash uses multi-level cell (MLC) technology where each floating-gate transistor stores 2 bits by precisely controlling four distinct threshold voltage levels. During read, sense amplifiers compare the cell current against reference levels to determine the 2-bit value. During program, controlled Fowler-Nordheim tunneling incrementally shifts the threshold voltage to the target level using verify-after-program iterations. The 1.8V core voltage reduces power consumption while VCCQ flexibility (1.7-3.6V) supports multiple I/O voltage domains.
