The TL1963AKTTR from TI is a 1A very low dropout LDO regulator with only 340 mV dropout at full load. The wide input range up to 20V and SOT-223 package make it suitable for post-regulation from 12V or 15V rails in industrial and automotive applications.

PMOS pass element achieves 340 mV dropout at 1A. Error amplifier and bandgap reference maintain output regulation. Current limit and thermal shutdown protect the device under fault conditions. The 1 mA quiescent current is low for a 1A LDO, enabling always-on power rails.
