The LTC6820HMS from Analog Devices is an isoSPI to SPI bridge that provides galvanic isolation for battery management daisy-chains. It translates standard SPI from the host MCU to the isolated isoSPI protocol used by LTC681x battery monitors. Transformer-based isolation eliminates optocouplers. Up to 1 MHz data rate supports fast battery stack polling.

The LTC6820 encodes SPI clock and data onto a differential pair using transformer coupling for galvanic isolation. On the receive side, it decodes the isoSPI signals back to standard SPI for the host MCU. The transformer provides both signal coupling and power isolation between the hot (high-voltage) and cold (MCU) domains.
