The NVT2008PW,118 from NXP is an 8-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator for I2C/SMBus and other open-drain interfaces. It translates between 1.0V-3.6V (A side) and 2.3V-5.5V (B side) domains, enabling communication between low-voltage and higher-voltage ICs.

工作原理

Each channel uses a pass-gate MOSFET structure that automatically senses direction based on external drive. Two independent supply rails (VCCA and VCCB) define the voltage domains. When A side is driven low, the pass gate conducts and pulls B side low, and vice versa. Open-drain/pull-up operation is inherent.
