The 1-84952-0 uses a Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) mechanism with a stuffer actuator. In the open position, the actuator lifts the contact beam away from the FPC insertion slot, allowing the flexible printed circuit to be inserted with minimal force. When the actuator is closed, it pushes the contact beam down onto the FPC conductor pads, establishing a reliable electrical connection.
