The AD626BNZ from Analog Devices is a differential amplifier and low-pass filter with pin-selectable gain of 10 or 100. Designed for conditioning low-level differential signals (such as from current shunt resistors or bridge sensors) in the presence of high common-mode voltage, it provides 86dB minimum CMRR at G=100 and ±50V input overvoltage protection. The built-in single-pole low-pass filter reduces high-frequency noise. Operates from single 2.4V to 36V or dual ±1.2V to ±18V supplies in a 14-pin PDIP package.

The AD626 uses a precision differential input stage followed by a gain stage and output buffer. At G=10, a feedback network sets the gain while maintaining wide bandwidth (100kHz). At G=100, an additional gain stage is inserted with reduced bandwidth (10kHz) but higher CMRR (86dB). The integrated low-pass filter can be configured with an external capacitor for custom cutoff frequency. The input stage includes overvoltage protection clamps to ±50V, protecting the amplifier from transient voltages in harsh automotive or industrial environments.
