The AP7335-33SNG-7 from Diodes Incorporated is a 300mA low-dropout linear regulator with 3.3V fixed output in ultra-compact DFN2020-6 package. The 150mV dropout at full load enables efficient operation from a single Li-ion cell. The 35uA quiescent current and 220us fast startup suit battery-powered applications. The 65dB PSRR provides clean power for RF-sensitive circuits. Only 1uF output capacitance is required, minimizing BOM and board space. The EN pin allows logic-controlled power sequencing.

The AP7335-33SNG-7 operates as a low-dropout linear regulator. (1) The P-channel MOSFET pass transistor provides the low 150mV dropout characteristic. The error amplifier compares the output voltage with an internal reference and drives the MOSFET gate to maintain regulation. The +/-2% output accuracy is achieved through precision trimming. (2) The EN (enable) pin provides logic-controlled on/off. When EN is high, the regulator operates; when low, the output is discharged and the device enters a low-current state. The 220us startup time from EN assertion to regulated output is among the fastest in its class. (3) Protection features include current limiting at approximately 600mA, short-circuit protection at 140mA, and thermal shutdown at 145C. The internal discharge resistor ensures the output ramps down quickly when disabled.
