The Microchip MIC2026A-1YM-TR is a dual-channel high-side MOSFET power distribution switch optimized for general-purpose power distribution requiring circuit protection. The MIC2026A-1YM-TR operates as a dual-channel high-side power switch. 1) Power Switch Subsystem: Two independent N-Channel MOSFETs with charge pumps provide low-resistance paths from VIN to each VOUT, with 140mOhm max on-resistance per channel. 2) Current Limit Subsystem: Each channel monitors output current independently, entering constant-current mode during overcurrent or short-circuit events. 3) Thermal Protection Subsystem: Thermally isolated channels feature independent temperature sensors; each channel cycles off at its thermal limit and resets when the junction cools to 120°C. 4) Fault Reporting Subsystem: A shared FLG output with 3ms deglitch filter reports faults from either channel, eliminating false assertions during transient inrush events.
