The RP110Q282D-TR-FE from Nisshinbo Micro Devices is a CMOS-based LDO regulator with fixed 2.8V output and 150mA max current in SC-88A (SOT-353) package. Ultra-low 1uA supply current makes it ideal for battery-powered applications with sleep mode. Dropout voltage is 0.28V typ at 150mA. CE enable pin allows power gating with 0.1uA standby. Overcurrent and short circuit protection included.

The RP110 uses a CMOS pass transistor (PMOS) between VIN and VOUT. An error amplifier compares a scaled version of VOUT with an internal bandgap reference, driving the PMOS gate to regulate VOUT at 2.8V. The CMOS process enables 1uA quiescent current vs. 50-100uA for bipolar LDOs. Soft-start circuit gradually ramps the output to limit inrush current. The CE pin disables the pass transistor for 0.1uA standby.
