The STM32F207ZGT6 from STMicroelectronics is a high-performance ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller operating at 120 MHz with 150 DMIPS. The device features 1 MB Flash, 128 KB SRAM, and a rich peripheral set including IEEE 802.3 compliant Ethernet MAC, dual USB OTG (high-speed with embedded full-speed PHY and full-speed), hardware cryptographic acceleration (AES 128/192/256, DES, HMAC), and a Chrom-ART graphics accelerator for display applications. The three 12-bit ADCs provide up to 6 MSPS sampling, and two 12-bit DACs enable analog output generation. Six USART, three SPI, three I2C, and two CAN interfaces provide comprehensive connectivity.

The STM32F207ZGT6 uses the ARM Cortex-M3 processor core with a 3-stage pipeline executing Thumb-2 instruction set. The Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller (NVIC) supports up to 81 interrupt channels with 16 priority levels, providing deterministic interrupt latency of 12 cycles. The built-in Ethernet MAC handles IEEE 802.3 frame formatting, CRC generation, and address filtering, while the external PHY is connected via MII or RMII interface. The USB OTG HS controller includes an embedded full-speed PHY and supports high-speed operation (480 Mbps) with an external ULPI PHY. The DMA controller provides 16 streams with FIFO for efficient peripheral-to-memory transfers. The Chrom-ART accelerator offloads 2D graphics operations (blit, fill, alpha blending, color conversion) from the CPU. The hardware crypto engine accelerates AES, DES, and HMAC operations for secure communication.
