The TSX711ILT from STMicroelectronics is a precision rail-to-rail input and output CMOS operational amplifier with maximum 200 µV input offset voltage at 25°C. The wide 2.7 V to 16 V supply range and 50 pA max input bias current make it ideal for high-impedance sensor interfaces and battery-powered instrumentation. The 2.7 MHz GBW and 1.4 V/µs slew rate provide ample bandwidth for active filtering and signal conditioning. Unity gain stability ensures ease of use across all configurations. The device features 4 kV HBM ESD tolerance and automotive qualification for demanding environments. The SOT-23-5 package enables compact PCB layouts in space-constrained applications.

The TSX711ILT uses a CMOS input stage with rail-to-rail input capability achieved through complementary N-channel and P-channel differential pairs. When the common-mode voltage is near the negative rail, the P-channel pair is active; when near the positive rail, the N-channel pair takes over. The transition between pairs is managed by a control circuit to minimize crossover distortion and offset shifts. The output stage uses a complementary CMOS push-pull configuration for rail-to-rail output swing. Chopper stabilization is not used; instead, precision trimming at the factory ensures 200 µV max offset voltage. The 50 pA input bias current reflects the CMOS gate leakage of the input transistors. Internal compensation provides unity gain stability with no external components required.
