The X7T dielectric provides a wider capacitance change window (+22%/-33%) compared to X7R (±15%) but enables higher CV density at high voltages. The 450V rating targets industrial inverter and motor drive applications operating from 380-400V DC buses. For automotive applications, the CGA6M4X7T2W224K200AA (AEC-Q200 qualified) is the equivalent part. The 220nF value at 450V in a 1210 package represents advanced MLCC technology for high-voltage filtering.

The C3225X7T2W224K200AA uses TDK’s multilayer ceramic construction with X7T (Class II) dielectric. The X7T formulation is a modified barium titanate composition optimized for high-voltage operation, providing higher CV density than X7R at the same voltage rating but with wider capacitance change over temperature (+22%/-33% vs ±15%). The 450V rating requires thick dielectric layers to maintain dielectric strength and voltage proof (tested at 250% of rated voltage = 1125V).
