The 470pF value is in the mid-range of picofarad values (between 100pF and 1000pF), commonly used for EMI suppression on signal lines, RC filters, and general-purpose signal decoupling. The 50V rating provides wide voltage margin for 12V, 24V, and even 48V rails. The 0603 package is the most popular MLCC footprint in modern electronics design.

The CC0603KRX7R9BB471 uses YAGEO’s multilayer ceramic construction with X7R (Class II) barium titanate-based dielectric. The 470pF capacitance at 50V uses relatively few dielectric layers compared to high-CV MLCCs, so the DC bias effect is minimal (capacitance remains close to nominal even at 48V applied). The X7R formulation provides ±15% capacitance change over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range with dissipation factor of ≤2.5%. The Ni-barrier Sn termination (Cu/Ni/Sn) provides reliable lead-free solder joints. The 0603 package uses a standard 1.6×0.8mm footprint compatible with all major pick-and-place equipment.
