The DLPC3437CZEZ is a DLP display controller from Texas Instruments designed for the DLP3310 (0.33-inch 1080p) DMD. A unique dual-controller architecture uses two DLPC3437 controllers to drive the DLP3310 DMD, enabling full HD 1080p display. The controller supports input resolutions up to 1080p with frame rates up to 120 Hz (60 Hz at 1080p resolution). IntelliBright image processing includes Content Adaptive Illumination Control (CAIC) and Local Area Brightness Boost (LABB) for optimized brightness. Both 24-bit parallel and dual FPD-link (via FPGA) input interfaces are supported.

The DLPC3437 operates as one half of a dual-controller pair driving the DLP3310 DMD. Each controller handles a portion of the micromirror array data. Video input arrives via the 24-bit parallel interface or dual FPD-link LVDS interface through an FPGA. The Cortex-M3 processor applies IntelliBright algorithms (CAIC adjusts LED current per content, LABB enhances local brightness), color coordinate adjustment, programmable degamma, and image scaling. Processed pixel data is output to the DMD via SubLVDS. The controller manages DMD power sequencing, LED current through the PMIC, and auto-parks the DMD on power-down. External SPI flash stores firmware and splash images.
