The IR2111STRPBF is a high-voltage, high-speed half-bridge power MOSFET and IGBT driver from Infineon Technologies. This device integrates both high-side and low-side driver channels in a single SOIC-8 package, with complementary output operation controlled by a single logic input. The floating high-side channel, designed for bootstrap operation, is fully operational up to 500V offset voltage. Internal dead time of approximately 500ns ensures reliable operation by preventing cross-conduction (shoot-through) in the power stage. Built on Infineon’s proven HVIC and latch-immune CMOS technology, the IR2111S offers robust performance and excellent noise immunity for a wide range of half-bridge power conversion applications.

The IR2111STRPBF operates as a complementary-output half-bridge gate driver. A single input (HIN/LIN combined) controls both the high-side and low-side outputs. When the input is high, the low-side output (LO) is high and the high-side output (HO) is low. When the input goes low, after the internal dead time delay, the low side turns off and the high side turns on. This complementary switching with built-in dead time simplifies half-bridge design by eliminating the need for external dead time generation circuitry. The high-side driver operates from a floating bootstrap supply (VB-VS), while the low-side driver operates from the fixed VCC supply. UVLO circuitry ensures both outputs remain low if supply voltage is insufficient.
