The Molex 0475532001 (47553-2001) is a Mini SIM card connector from the 47553 series, designed for front card entry with a push-push ejection mechanism. Featuring 6 gold-plated copper alloy contacts in a 1.27mm pitch, this connector provides reliable SIM card interfacing with up to 2,500 mating cycles. The fully shielded metal cover protects against EMI interference, while the ultra-low 1.8mm profile enables use in slim mobile and IoT devices. Two detect pins provide card presence sensing capability.

The 47553-2001 SIM connector uses a push-push mechanism for card insertion and ejection. On the first push, the SIM card slides into the connector and locks into position, with the detect switch closing to signal card presence. On the second push, the spring-loaded ejection mechanism releases the card for removal. The six gold-over-nickel contacts make spring-force contact with the SIM card’s contact pads, providing reliable electrical connectivity for data, clock, reset, and power signals. The fully shielded metal cover acts as a Faraday cage, preventing external EMI from corrupting the sensitive SIM card communication signals.
