The C0G/NP0 Class I dielectric provides the best stability of any ceramic: 0±30ppm/°C temperature coefficient, no DC bias effect, no aging, and very low dissipation factor (≤0.1%). The 680pF value is a common RF matching and filter capacitor value in wireless communication circuits (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, cellular). The ±5% (J) tolerance provides good precision for RF circuits without the premium cost of ±1% (F) tolerance. The 0603 footprint is well-suited for high-density RF front-end module layouts.

The CC0603JRNPO9BN681 uses a C0G (NP0) Class I ceramic dielectric based on a neodymium-titanium dioxide composition that exhibits linear, predictable behavior near zero temperature coefficient. The C0G ceramic is not ferroelectric, meaning there is no DC bias effect and no aging — the capacitance remains stable over the full operating voltage and product lifetime. The multilayer construction with alternating Ni inner electrodes provides the 680pF capacitance. The ±5% (J) tolerance is tighter than the ±10% typical of X7R capacitors, providing better accuracy for RF matching and filter circuits. The very low dissipation factor (≤0.1%) ensures high Q factor in resonant circuits, critical for RF performance.
