The combination of 1µF and 100V in a 1206 package represents a high CV product density achievable through YAGEO’s advanced thin-layer ceramic technology. The 100V rating makes this capacitor suitable for 48V and 60V power rails with adequate voltage margin, and can replace larger aluminum electrolytic capacitors in some medium-voltage filtering applications where MLCC advantages (low ESR, long life, no aging) are desired.

The CC1206KKX7R0BB105 uses YAGEO’s multilayer ceramic construction with X7R (Class II) barium titanate-based dielectric. The high CV product (1µF × 100V = 100 in a 1206 package) is achieved through advanced thin-layer technology that enables many thin dielectric layers with fine inner electrodes. The 100V rating requires thicker individual dielectric layers compared to lower-voltage parts, which reduces the number of layers that can fit in the same package height — making 1µF at 100V in 1206 a challenging specification. Like all Class II MLCCs, the capacitance decreases with applied DC voltage; at 60V applied, the effective capacitance may be 50-70% of the nominal 1µF value. The X7R dielectric provides ±15% capacitance change over -55°C to +125°C.
