The A3941KLPTR-T from Allegro MicroSystems is an AEC-Q100 qualified full-bridge gate driver IC designed for driving four N-channel MOSFETs in automotive motor drive applications. The device provides +/-350mA gate drive current with an integrated charge pump that supports 100% high-side duty cycle operation. Logic inputs are 3.3V and 5V compatible for direct MCU interface. Protection features include cross-conduction prevention with adjustable dead time, overcurrent protection via external sense resistor, over-temperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout. A diagnostic output reports fault conditions. The device operates from 5.5V to 50V supply in a TSSOP-24 package rated for -40C to +125C.

The A3941KLPTR-T integrates gate drive, charge pump, and protection for full-bridge motor drive. (1) Gate Drivers: Four gate driver outputs (GH1/GL1, GH2/GL2) drive the high-side and low-side MOSFETs of two half-bridges. Source capability is 350mA and sink capability is 350mA for fast switching. (2) Charge Pump: An internal charge pump generates the gate drive voltage for the high-side MOSFETs above the supply rail, supporting 100% duty cycle operation without bootstrap refresh. (3) Bootstrap: An optional bootstrap diode and capacitor can supplement the charge pump for high-frequency switching. (4) Dead Time: Programmable dead time between high-side and low-side switching prevents cross-conduction. (5) Protection: Overcurrent is detected via an external sense resistor on the SEN pin. Over-temperature shutdown activates at approximately 165C. UVLO disables outputs when VBB drops below threshold. (6) Diagnostics: The FF pin provides fault flag output, and the DIAG pin enables communication of fault type.
