The AC0402FR-072KL from Yageo is a 2kΩ, 1/16W (0.0625W) thick film chip resistor in a 0402 (1005 metric) surface-mount package from the AC automotive-grade series. With ±1% tolerance and ±200ppm/°C TCR, it provides compact general-purpose resistance for high-density automotive and industrial PCB layouts. AEC-Q200 qualified with MSL 1 moisture sensitivity, it operates from -55°C to +155°C. The tiny 1.0×0.5mm footprint enables maximum placement density.

The AC0402 series uses thick film technology where a resistive paste is screen-printed on an alumina ceramic substrate and fired. The film is laser-trimmed to achieve 2kΩ within ±1% tolerance. A protective glass overcoat seals the element. The 0402 size is too small for surface marking, requiring tape reel identification. The Ni/Sn termination provides reliable soldering with good wetting characteristics.
