The ADS131E04IPAGR is a 4-channel, 24-bit simultaneous sampling delta-sigma ADC from Texas Instruments optimized for industrial power monitoring and protection applications. Each channel integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains of 1 to 12, a high-resolution delta-sigma modulator, and a programmable digital decimation filter. The device achieves 118 dB dynamic range at 1 kSPS with -110 dB crosstalk and -90 dB THD. True high-impedance inputs allow direct connection to resistor dividers, voltage transformers, current transformers, or Rogowski coils without external buffer amplifiers.

The ADS131E04IPAGR uses delta-sigma conversion with simultaneous sampling across all four channels. Each channel consists of a multiplexer feeding a PGA, followed by a third-order delta-sigma modulator operating at a high oversampling ratio. The modulator output is processed by a programmable digital decimation filter that produces the final 24-bit output data at rates from 1 kSPS to 64 kSPS. A fault detection subsystem uses an integrated DAC-controlled comparator per channel to monitor for overcurrent or overvoltage conditions independently of the ADC conversion. The SPI interface provides access to all configuration registers and output data, with daisy-chain support for multiple ADC devices.
