The APBA3010SURKCGKC-GX from Kingbright is a right-angle bi-color SMD chip LED combining hyper red (AlGaInP, 630 nm, 300 mcd typical) and green (AlGaInP, 570 nm, 70 mcd typical) emitters in a single 3.0 x 2.0 x 1.0 mm package. The common-anode 3-pin configuration simplifies PCB design, with separate cathode pins for each color allowing independent drive. The right-angle emission direction is ideal for edge-mounted panel indicators, and the 140-degree wide viewing angle ensures visibility from multiple directions. This bi-color LED enables pass/fail, on/off, or multi-state status indication from a single component location, reducing board space and component count compared to using two discrete LEDs.

The APBA3010SURKCGKC-GX integrates two independently addressable AlGaInP LED die in a single right-angle surface-mount package. The red die emits at 630 nm dominant wavelength when forward current flows through the common anode to the red cathode, while the green die emits at 570 nm when current flows through the common anode to the green cathode. Both die share a common anode connection, allowing the use of a single current-limiting resistor from the anode to the positive supply, with separate cathode control lines. When both die are driven simultaneously, the combined red and green light produces an amber/yellow perceived color, enabling three-state indication (red, green, amber) from a two-color LED. The right-angle reflector cup directs emitted light perpendicular to the PCB surface for panel-edge mounting.
