The CC0402FRNPO9BN220 from YAGEO is a 22pF ±1% MLCC in an 0402 (1005 metric) package with C0G/NP0 dielectric, rated at 50V DC. The YAGEO part numbering: CC=YAGEO MLCC, 0402=size, F=±1% tolerance, RNPO9=C0G/NP0 dielectric, B=thickness, N=process code, 220=22pF (22×10⁰pF). The C0G/NP0 Class I dielectric provides the best stability of any ceramic: 0±30ppm/°C temperature coefficient, no DC bias effect, no aging, and very low dissipation factor (≤0.1%). The ±1% (F) tolerance is the tightest available for MLCCs, making this device ideal for precision RF matching and crystal oscillator circuits where capacitance accuracy directly impacts frequency stability. The 22pF value is one of the most commonly used crystal load capacitor values.

The CC0402FRNPO9BN220 uses a C0G (NP0) Class I ceramic dielectric based on a neodymium-titanium composition that exhibits linear, predictable behavior near zero temperature coefficient. Unlike Class II barium titanate ceramics, C0G ceramics are not ferroelectric, meaning there is no DC bias effect (capacitance is independent of applied voltage up to the rated voltage) and no aging (capacitance does not decrease logarithmically over time). The multilayer construction with alternating Ni inner electrodes provides the 22pF capacitance. The ±1% tolerance is achieved through precise lamination and firing processes, making this one of the tightest-tolerance MLCCs available. The 0402 package uses a 1.0×0.5mm footprint for the highest density RF layouts.
