The DB207S is a single-phase glass-passivated silicon bridge rectifier rated at 2A and 1000V in a DBS surface-mount package. Part of the DB201S through DB207S family covering 50V to 1000V, this device integrates four rectifier diodes in a Graetz bridge configuration for full-wave AC-to-DC conversion. The glass-passivated junction construction ensures reliable operation and low reverse leakage, while the DBS gull-wing package enables easy surface-mount assembly with visual solder joint inspection. With a peak forward surge current rating of 60A and operating temperature range of -55degC to +150degC, the DB207S is suitable for demanding power supply applications.

The DB207S contains four glass-passivated silicon diodes connected in a full-wave Graetz bridge configuration. During the positive half-cycle of the AC input, two diagonally opposite diodes conduct, routing current through the load in one direction. During the negative half-cycle, the other two diodes conduct, maintaining the same current direction through the load. This full-wave rectification doubles the output frequency compared to half-wave rectification, resulting in lower ripple amplitude and easier filtering. The glass-passivated junction technology provides improved reverse leakage characteristics and thermal stability compared to standard planar junctions. The bridge configuration inherently blocks reverse voltage from reaching the output, as the non-conducting pair of diodes always presents the full reverse voltage rating to the AC source.
