The DMP1045U-7 is a P-channel enhancement mode power MOSFET from Diodes Incorporated designed for low-voltage switching applications. The device features ultra-low on-resistance of 31 mOhm max at VGS=-4.5V and high continuous drain current of -5.2A, making it suitable for battery charging, load switching, and DC-DC converter applications. The low threshold voltage (-0.35V to -1.0V) enables direct drive from low-voltage logic circuits. The SOT-23 package provides a compact footprint for space-constrained designs while maintaining good thermal performance with 1.3W power dissipation. The device is manufactured using advanced trench MOSFET technology for optimal RDS(on) and switching performance.

The DMP1045U-7 is a P-channel enhancement mode MOSFET. When the gate-source voltage is more negative than the threshold voltage, an inversion layer forms in the N-body region, creating a conduction channel between source and drain. Current flows from source to drain (conventional) when the channel is formed. The trench gate structure provides high channel density for low on-resistance. The low threshold voltage (-0.35V to -1.0V) means only a small gate-source voltage differential is needed to enhance the channel, making it compatible with single-cell Li-ion battery voltages. The 31 mOhm RDS(on) at -4.5V VGS minimizes conduction losses in switching applications.
