The EKZE250ELL331MJ20S from Chemi-Con is a 330 uF, 25 V radial aluminum electrolytic capacitor from the EKZE series. The 20 mm can height provides a larger electrolyte reservoir compared to the 16 mm variant, enabling an extended 8000-hour life rating at 105 degC and a higher ripple current capability of 1.46 A at 100 kHz. The impedance is reduced to 0.027 ohm at 100 kHz, making it ideal for high-frequency switching applications requiring long-term reliability.

The EKZE series capacitor uses a wound aluminum foil element with a low-impedance electrolyte system. The anode foil is electrochemically etched to expand surface area and formed with an aluminum oxide dielectric. The larger 20 mm can provides more electrolyte volume, which extends the drying-out time and thus the operational lifetime to 8000 hours at 105 degC. The increased can volume also improves thermal dissipation, allowing higher ripple current handling without exceeding the core temperature limit.
