The EPM3032ATC44-10N from Intel (Altera) is a MAX 3000A CPLD in TQFP-44 package. 32 macrocells with 10ns pin-to-pin delay for fast combinatorial and sequential logic. 34 I/O pins for interfacing with multiple buses. 3.3V single supply. In-system programmable (ISP) via JTAG for field updates. For glue logic replacement, address decoding, protocol bridging, and bus arbitration in digital systems.

The CPLD architecture consists of Logic Array Blocks (LABs) connected by a Programmable Interconnect Array (PIA). Each LAB contains 16 macrocells with product-term logic and a flip-flop. The PIA routes signals between LABs and I/O elements. Configuration is stored in EEPROM cells, making it non-volatile (instant-on at power-up). JTAG interface enables in-system programming and boundary-scan testing. The MAX 3000A uses 0.3um EEPROM technology for 10ns performance at 3.3V.
