The HFCN-9700+ is constructed using Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic (LTCC) technology, embedding multiple distributed LC filter sections within a multilayer ceramic substrate. The LTCC process prints conductive patterns on ceramic tape layers that are stacked, laminated, and co-fired to form a monolithic filter structure. The distributed element design creates transmission zeros at stopband frequencies, providing sharp roll-off below the 9.7 GHz cutoff. The 50 Ohm matched input and output eliminate the need for external matching networks. The ceramic construction provides excellent thermal stability with minimal insertion loss variation over the -55 C to +100 C operating range. DC blocking capacitors are required if DC voltage is present at either port.
