The HT7333-A from Holtek Semiconductor is an ultra-low-power CMOS LDO voltage regulator providing a fixed 3.3V output at up to 250 mA. Its exceptionally low quiescent current of 4 µA makes it ideal for battery-powered and always-on applications where power efficiency is critical. The SOT-89 package offers good thermal performance in a compact footprint, and the device supports ceramic output capacitors for BOM simplification.

The HT7333-A uses a CMOS bandgap reference and error amplifier to regulate the output voltage. A PMOS pass transistor is driven by the error amplifier to maintain the 3.3V output. The ultra-low 4 µA quiescent current is achieved through the CMOS design, which eliminates the bipolar bias currents found in traditional LDO regulators. The internal current limiter protects against overcurrent conditions, while thermal shutdown disables the output when the junction temperature exceeds safe limits. The low dropout voltage of 90 mV at light loads maximizes usable battery capacity.
