The Infineon IFX91041EJVMAKMA1 is a 45V 1.2A synchronous buck converter in a compact 3x3mm VQFN-12 package, AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications. The spread-spectrum clock generation (SSCG) reduces EMI peaks, simplifying EMC compliance. PFM mode with 30uA quiescent current maintains efficiency at light loads, critical for always-on automotive ECUs.

The IFX91041EJVMAKMA1 uses current-mode control with integrated N-channel MOSFETs for synchronous rectification. The 4.5V to 45V input range covers automotive 12V/24V battery systems with full load-dump protection. The spread-spectrum clock generation (SSCG) modulates the switching frequency by ±6% around the center frequency, spreading EMI energy across a wider bandwidth and reducing peak emissions. The PFM (pulse frequency modulation) mode reduces switching frequency at light loads to maintain high efficiency while drawing only 30uA quiescent current. An external synchronization input allows frequency locking to a system clock.
