The LM3000SQ/NOPB is a dual synchronous buck controller from Texas Instruments with an input range of 3.3 V to 18.5 V. Packaged in a 32-pin WQFN (RTV), it uses emulated current mode control with bottom-side FET sensing for fast transient response and current limiting without external sense resistors. The LM3000 is a dual output synchronous buck controller from Texas Instruments designed to convert input voltages from 3.3 V to 18.5 V down to output voltages as low as 0.6 V. The two outputs switch at a programmable frequency of 200 kHz to 1.5 MHz, with the second output 180° out of phase to minimize input filter requirements. The emulated current-mode control uses bottom-side FET sensing for fast transient response and current limit without external sense resistors. Separate enable, soft-start, and track pins allow independent control for flexible power sequencing.

The LM3000 uses an emulated current-mode control architecture that synthesizes the inductor current ramp internally. The bottom-side MOSFET RDS(on) is sensed during the off-time to reconstruct the inductor current, eliminating external sense resistors. The error amplifier compares the differential output voltage (sensed remotely) against a 0.6 V reference with 1% accuracy. The PWM comparator generates the gate drive timing. The two channels operate 180° out of phase, effectively doubling the input ripple frequency. A CLKOUT pin provides a 90° phase-shifted clock for daisy-chaining multiple LM3000 devices. Protection features include UVLO, power good, over-voltage crowbar, and hiccup mode short-circuit protection.
