The RC0805FR-07680KL from YAGEO is a 680kΩ ±1% thick film chip resistor in a 0805 (2012 metric) package. While sharing the same 680kΩ ±1% specification as the 0603 variant (RC0603FR-07680KL), the 0805 package provides a significantly higher voltage rating of 150V (vs 50V for 0603) and 0.125W power rating. This makes it more suitable for high-voltage divider applications where significant voltage is dropped across the resistor, such as AC mains monitoring and industrial power supply voltage sensing. The larger 0805 footprint also provides easier handling and visual inspection during manufacturing.

The RC0805FR-07680KL uses a thick film resistive element (metal glaze on alumina) laser-trimmed to 680kΩ with ±1% tolerance. The 0805 package provides a 150V working voltage rating, which is the critical advantage over the 0603 (50V) and 0402 (25V) packages for high-value resistors. At 680kΩ, the maximum continuous current is limited by the voltage rating: 150V/680kΩ = 220μA, well within the 0.125W power dissipation capability. The ±100ppm/°C TCR provides reasonable stability for precision divider applications.
