The SN74LVC2G34 is a dual buffer gate from Texas Instruments’ LVC logic family, designed for 1.65-V to 5.5-V VCC operation. Each device contains two independent non-inverting buffers that perform the Boolean function Y = A. The device is fully specified for partial-power-down applications using Ioff, which prevents damaging current backflow when the device is powered down. Its over-voltage tolerant inputs and wide supply range make it ideal for voltage translation and signal buffering in mixed-voltage digital systems.

The SN74LVC2G34 operates as two independent non-inverting buffer channels. Each channel receives a digital input signal at its A pin and reproduces the same logic level at its Y output pin. The internal CMOS inverter pair provides high input impedance and low output impedance, enabling signal restoration and level shifting. The Ioff circuitry disconnects the output stage when VCC is removed, preventing parasitic current paths in multi-rail systems. Over-voltage tolerant input clamping allows the device to accept signals above VCC without latch-up.
