The TXU0202 is a 2-bit dual-supply noninverting fixed-direction voltage-level translator from Texas Instruments, designed with opposite-direction channels (A1-to-B1 and B2-to-A2) making it ideal for UART and other bidirectional bus level shifting. The A port operates from 1.1V to 5.5V (VCCA) and the B port from 1.1V to 5.5V (VCCB). Schmitt-trigger inputs provide noise immunity on slow signals, while integrated pull-down resistors prevent channels from floating when not driven. The OE pin with VCC(MIN) circuitry allows control from either supply domain. VCC isolation and Ioff-float features ensure glitch-free operation during power sequencing.

The TXU0202 uses dual-supply level-shifting buffers between VCCA and VCCB domains. Channel 1 transmits from A1 to B1, while Channel 2 transmits from B2 to A2, providing opposite-direction paths on a single device. The OE (output enable) pin, referenced to either VCCA or VCCB via internal VCC(MIN) circuitry, controls the tri-state of all outputs. When OE is LOW, all outputs enter high-impedance state. When OE is HIGH, data flows through the enabled channels. Schmitt-trigger inputs on all data pins provide hysteresis for noise rejection on slowly transitioning signals. If either VCC drops below 100 mV or is disconnected, all outputs are disabled and become high-impedance.
