The UPW3A1002B from Rohm is a 10 kOhm precision power metal film through-hole resistor from the UPW series. Combining high 2 W power dissipation with ultra-tight +/-0.1% tolerance and +/-25 ppm/degC TCR, it addresses applications requiring both precision and power handling. The metal film technology provides low noise, low voltage coefficient, and excellent long-term stability. The axial leaded package with 500 V working voltage rating supports high-voltage precision divider and regulation circuits.

The UPW series uses a precision nichrome metal film deposited on a high-grade ceramic rod. The film is helically trimmed to achieve the exact 10 kOhm resistance within +/-0.1% tolerance. The ceramic substrate provides excellent thermal conductivity, enabling the 2 W power rating in a compact axial package. The silicone coating provides electrical insulation and environmental protection while maintaining good thermal characteristics. The precision trimming and low TCR nichrome film ensure resistance stability over the full temperature range.
