The ADP162AUJZ-3.0-R7 is an ultra-low quiescent current, low dropout linear regulator from Analog Devices with a fixed 3.0 V output. With only 860 nA typical quiescent current and sub-50 nA shutdown current, it is specifically designed for battery-powered and wearable applications where every nanoamp matters. The device operates from 2.2 V to 5.5 V input, delivers 150 mA output with 195 mV dropout, and provides 72 dB PSRR at 100 Hz. The ADP162 is identical to the ADP160 but without the output discharge function.

The ADP162 uses an advanced CMOS process with a PMOS pass element to achieve ultra-low quiescent current. An internal reference and error amplifier maintain output regulation with ±1% initial accuracy (±3.5% over temperature). The enable pin controls the pass element and reduces total supply current to less than 50 nA when disabled. Short-circuit current limit and thermal overload protection prevent damage under fault conditions. The device is stable with small 1 µF ±30% ceramic input and output capacitors.
