The BLM18HD601SN1D from Murata is a 600Ω (at 100MHz) chip ferrite bead with 200mA rated current in a 0603 (1608 metric) surface-mount package. AEC-Q200 qualified for automotive applications, the high impedance provides effective EMI suppression on signal and power lines while the small 0603 footprint enables high-density PCB layouts. The monolithic ferrite construction ensures reliable performance from -55°C to +125°C.

The BLM18HD uses a monolithic ferrite bead where a conductive internal electrode passes through a ferrite body. At DC, the device presents only the DC resistance (~1.0Ω). At high frequencies, the ferrite material’s complex permeability creates high impedance that attenuates noise. The H-series ferrite material is optimized for high impedance (600Ω at 100MHz) in the frequency range typical of digital switching noise (10-500MHz), while maintaining stable performance over the automotive temperature range.
