The DLP471TPFQQ is a 0.47-inch diagonal 4K Ultra HD digital micromirror device (DMD) from Texas Instruments. It features a physical 1920 x 1080 micromirror array with 5.4 µm pitch and ±17° tilt angle, achieving 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) display resolution through TI’s pixel shifting technology at up to 60 Hz, and native 1080p at up to 240 Hz. The device uses a high-speed serial interface (HSSI) data bus with bottom illumination. As part of the DLP471TP chipset, it is paired with the DLPC6540 display controller and DLPA3005 PMIC/LED driver for a complete 4K UHD projection system.

The DLP471TP DMD achieves 4K UHD resolution through pixel shifting (also known as XPR or 4K enhancement). The 1920 x 1080 physical micromirror array shifts by half a pixel diagonal at 120 Hz or 240 Hz, producing four sub-frames that combine to create an effective 3840 x 2160 image at 60 Hz. The HSSI interface receives pixel data from the DLPC6540 controller at high speed. Each micromirror tilts ±17° to modulate light between ON (projection path) and OFF (light dump) states. The DLPA3005 PMIC provides the DMD high-voltage supplies (VBIAS, VOFFSET, VRESET) and drives the RGB LEDs in color-sequential operation.
