The DLPC3432CZVB is a DLP display controller from Texas Instruments designed for the DLP230GP (0.23-inch qHD) DMD. It supports input resolutions up to qHD (960 x 540) at frame rates up to 240 Hz with IntelliBright image processing including Content Adaptive Illumination Control (CAIC) and Local Area Brightness Boost (LABB). The controller supports MIPI DSI Type 3 (1-4 lanes at 470 Mbps) and 24-bit parallel/BT656 input interfaces, making it versatile for mobile and IoT platforms. An internal Arm Cortex-M3 processor handles image processing pipelines. Embedded eDRAM frame memory eliminates external frame buffer requirements.

The DLPC3432 receives video data through the 24-bit parallel interface or MIPI DSI Type 3 port. The internal Cortex-M3 processor applies IntelliBright algorithms: CAIC adjusts LED current based on image content for power efficiency, LABB enhances perceived brightness in dark regions. The image scaler resizes input to match the qHD DMD resolution. 1D keystone correction compensates for projection angle. Color space conversion and 4:2:2 to 4:4:4 chroma interpolation handle format adaptation. Processed data is output to the DMD via SubLVDS. The controller manages DMD power sequencing and LED current control through the PMIC via I2C, and auto-parks the DMD on power-down.
