The DLPA3000DPFDR is a highly integrated power management IC (PMIC) and high-current RGB LED driver from Texas Instruments optimized for DLP Pico Projector systems. The device supports LED projectors up to 6 A per LED, enabled by an integrated high-efficiency buck converter. Low on-resistance RGB MOSFET switches support color-sequential LED operation. The DLPA3000 contains five buck converters: two dedicated for DLPC343x low-voltage supplies, one for generating the three timing-critical DMD supplies (VBIAS, VRESET, VOFFSET), and two auxiliary bucks for FAN driver or general power. Two fixed LDOs provide 2.5V and 3.3V at up to 200 mA. An analog MUX routes internal and external analog signals for monitoring. The DLPA3000 is compatible with a wide range of DLP chipsets from DLP2010 through DLP4710.

The DLPA3000 operates as the power backbone of a DLP Pico projector system. The main buck converter drives RGB LEDs at up to 6 A with 10-bit programmable current per channel. RGB MOSFET switches sequentially select the active LED color, synchronized with the DMD image data via the LED_SEL0/1 inputs. Two dedicated buck converters generate the 1.1V and 1.8V supplies for the DLPC343x controller. A third regulating supply generates the three DMD high-voltage rails (VBIAS, VRESET, VOFFSET) with precise power sequencing. An 8-bit programmable auxiliary buck can drive a cooling FAN or provide additional power rails. All blocks are configured via the SPI interface. Protection circuits include thermal shutdown (150°C), undervoltage lockout, and hot-die warning (120°C).
